The North American nation of Mexico is renowned for its ancient wonders and the rustic style of living. However, the country has amazing coastlines and the promotion of fishing as a tourist activity is fast catching on.
With the Pacific Ocean to the West and the Atlantic to the East, water nearly envelops the nation of Mexico. The climate is more or less tropical and fishing can be carried all year round. Many resorts have been set up in recent years to promote fishing vacations for families and couples. These are mainly found dotting the coastal areas of the Gulf of California and the Gulf of Mexico. The country also has a small extent of coastal waters in the Caribbean Sea and many tours are organized from different parts of the country to help tourists taste the thrill of fishing in the Caribbean. The tourism ministry itself organizes vacations for traveling groups that are based on the concept of enjoyment in the water. These packages include rafting, surfing and deep sea diving in addition to fishing and offer visitors the chance to see the wildlife and natural beauty of the country.
Mexico has facilities for nearly all types of fishing activities that exist in the world. There is fly-fishing along the Baja coast, where visitors can expect to reel in yellow fin Tuna or Green Jacks or if travelers prefer bigger bites then there is the option of deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Sometimes Mexico is visited as part of an all-American fishing vacation and at times people also get to visit the country alone and experience all the fishing it has to offer. Mexico fishing vacations are often long trips where travelers crisscross the country to reach the best fishing grounds. Very often, these trips are organized exclusively for amateurs and they are taught the tricks of the trade on the way.
